What Are the Six Things You Need to Know About Tier 4 Final Emissions Now?

In my discussions with generator set owners, operators and technicians, I often hear the challenges they face in meeting the emission standards established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Compliance requirements vary based on many factors, including engine size, type of engine, the application – such as whether the generator set is targeted for emergency use or peak-shaving.  Often, the greatest challenge is understanding which regulations apply.

Additional confusion can also result from the EPA’s redefinition of an emergency engine, the long-awaited approval of an Inducement Override rule for SCR-equipped engines that meet Tier 4 Final standards, and the incentives one may gain from running an emergency generator set in a non-emergency application.

Do you face the same challenges?  If so, I’d like to invite you to join me on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time for a free webinar that will focus on recent changes to U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emissions regulations.  You can earn up to 0.1 CEU (Continuous Education Unit) for participating.

In the meantime, we want to hear from you about your experience with emissions regulations:

  • What is the single largest issue you face in ensuring compliance with Tier 4 Final emissions regulations?
  • What resources do you use to better understand emissions standards and how they apply to your business?
  • What was the biggest roadblock you’ve had with emissions standards, and how did you overcome it?
