I went ahead and installed the 7C-3095 thermostat/regulator since I had it in hand and the engine's coolant temperatures have leveled out. It runs between 180 and 204 depending on outside temperature and load. When just crossing flat terrain it runs between 185 and 190. This is as reported by the Silverleaf so it's coming from the ECM and not a dashboard gauge.
Don't know what else I can contribute. Good luck getting yours sorted out.

Thanks for the informative response. The 3S-9643 arrived today.
Each day the coach rotates a little to point the nose more south.

The 7C-3095 was replaced by the 247 7133 to correct a common "stuck thermostat" problem. The 247 7133 is the current regulator for your engine. The 418 4162 is an optional service repalcement part. Specs on both are the same. Most likely it is manufactured by a different supplier. Either will work in your engine. The 418 4162 will cost you about $17 more however. Don't forget to order the 3S-9643 lip seal to go with either one Caltherm was the supplier for the old 7C-3095. It's not defective but there was a design change in the newer parts. The new regulators have an internal seal between the piston and guide tube to prevent sticking caused by debris in your cooling system. FYI there is also a 248-5513 that is fully open at 198 degrees rather than 208 degrees that the 247 7133 & 418 4162 fully open at. Hope this helps. Put that new style regulator in and enjoy your motor home.
