3406C fire pump engine

Hello. We recently installed a new stationary 3406C fire pump engine, which meets the NFPA-20 standards. It can start both manual or automatically from fire pump controller panel; however, it cannot be stopped either from controller pump panel or from engine panel. Only can be stopped actuating the stop lever on the injection pump.  What can be wrong with the electric stopping of this engine?

Re: 3406C fire pump engine

Sounds like the engine shut-off wiring could be incorrect. Most fire pump engine shut down systems are ETS (energize to shut off). The controls need to energize the shutdown solenoid thru a timer (usually 8 seconds or so).
