I just had my transmission replaced and I don't think this issue is related but it didn't start until after the Reman transmission was installed although nothing under the hood was touched. We went out on the test drive after the transmission was done and it shifted excellent throught 2nd and 3rd but now it keeps cutting off right before or after it hits 3rd gear. I think its a fuel issue because we tested the fuel pressure and it bounced all over the place it never gave a consistent reading either at idle or driving even above 90 at times. The trucks starts and will sit there and idle fine unless you turn it off only problem is when I start driving. I'm leaning towards the fuel pressure regulator but is there anything else that could cause this?
