Cat parts 8E-4193 and 8E-4194 will have a DH3 designation

Cat parts 6Y-5540 and 4T-6381 will have a DH2 designation rolled into the flat section

Cat parts 4J9058 and 2J3507 have unique grade marks

beside that this undercarriage worth less money to CHEAT that engine parts

2j 3507 nut and 5p8250 ve no CAT or grade marks but if you re expert you can see it's colour

-----------------------

I found nozzles of 8n 7005 , 4w 7018, 8n 3102 piston , ring piston 1w 8922, 8n 0822, 2w1709

1609874 seal liner kit.. 2w 6000, 2p8889 liner

've counterfeit / fake parts . coz they re very fast moving items.

They ve boxes and labels 98% same .

their body ve part number almost same as genuine.

Result : almost " ordinary mechanic can't see they're counterfeit / fake parts "

Re: Identifying Genuine Caterpillar Parts

hi all

I am currently involved in a process of defining a crieteria to segregate "Genuine Caterpillar Parts" from the fake ones. This may include details as of identity graphics on the packaging of the parts supplied.

Offcourse I need the help of experts present on this forum. The details may include information covering Serial Nos., Logos, Alphabets etc. embedded / engraved / embossed on Genuine Caterpillar Parts internationally / universally.

I wonder if I can get a copy of Corporate Identity Manual for Caterpillar Parts in the due process.

I have contacted AESL, the Caterpillar badge holder in Pakistan for the same but it proved of no use.

It is possible to identify genuine Cat parts from counterfeit. For the part numbers referenced in your inquiry, you can distinguish as follows:

Cat parts 8E-4193 and 8E-4194 will have a DH3 designation

Cat parts 6Y-5540 and 4T-6381 will have a DH2 designation rolled into the flat section

Cat parts 4J9058 and 2J3507 have unique grade marks

You can also consult your local Cat dealer for information on genuine Cat parts. To find your nearest dealer, click here: http://www.cat.com/dealer-locator

Thank you!

Are their any physical identification check lists available to segregate counterfeit / fake parts from Genuine Caterpillar parts?
