Thanks for the response.
I spent alittle time today working on all 3 loaders.
Fuel filters fell apart in my hands trying to get them off.
Looking for wiring diagrams now...............no wires eaten, just rotted away.

The big one first - ensure there are no pack rat nests which can catch on fire when the engine is started and check to see if there are any wires eaten through. Check all the fluid levels, of course. Change fuel and oil filters to eliminate any algae bloom issues and water condensation problems. Turn the engine over a few times to lubricate the engine before starting.

Just found this forum :)
I am helping a friend prep (3) 988 loaders, (mid to late 1970's models) to sell.
They have been sitting for approx 15 years. Any do's & don't s prior to try to start them?
Thanks in advance.
