Re: AVR loss of sensing shutdown event

Hi. I had same problem.
1) check diode bridge on rotor. ( if dont know how ask me.)
2) if you can connect to CDVR soft, check Ufd must be 6 ac. I think it's less.
3) check voltage 3ph from stator pre exitation (PMG) about 60ac. Terminal on CDVR P6(1,2,3) and check fuses in this wire.
4) check voltage sensing P12(10,11,12) from generator phases (through transformer if have)

Re: AVR loss of sensing shutdown event

Hi ghonemy

Like to help but i am in middle east.

dont have correct internet every day.

Do you know how to meassure voltage and Ohm's

1e Do you have acces to documents of this CDVR.

2e Doyou have the Cat software to communication

3e do you have cable rs 232, Nul modem cable with the CDVR.

4e do your laptop have RS 232 com port ?

5e Do you have schematics of the Gen and the CDVR.

Okay.

Type of Cat genenrator. serie nr and arr nr.

Type of Cat engine Serie nr and arr.

6e littel history of unite before lost sensing.

So lets see what comes and meby if your giving the correct info more will react on it.

I see many poeple looking but not much reply on other.

Only Mikel is very active and helpfully.

but your need to give info what can help you to help. LOL

Re: AVR loss of sensing shutdown event

It means the AVR sensed power and/or frequency on the PM input, but little or incorrect voltage on the sensing input.

Check you input sensing leads and connections.
